Three items you need to travel the world

Only three items, It’s as easy as one, two & three!
When you hack it down to the bare minimum, it only comes down to three items and three items only that’s stopping you from hop, skipping and jumping around the world.
It goes as follows:
1) Smart Phone
2) Credit Card
3) Passport
Of course, it’s completely crazy! But I have done this before when I went to Cork, Ireland for Lunch.
That’s all I brought with me and it did make me think in a very different, minimalistic way.
But surely not long term?
Well, one way of looking at it is, I would rather buy my South East Asian clothes and bag in South East Asia compared to London. Not only is it allot cheaper, but its built for the climate and your fit in with the local crowd with your Singha beer T-shirt.
But its the mentality that only three items are needed to get you on the road to start travelling. So if you are feeling that little bit adventurous and want to change it all, you really only need those three items,
Here is why:
Passport.
As it says in the name, you’re going to be passing through a lot of Ports.
What if I told you that as a UK citizen you can enter pretty much all of Europe with no Visa, You can travel around a lot of South East Asia by paying for your Visa on arrival and many places you can pay for your tourism visa in advance over the internet (using your Smartphone and a PDF app).
So there we have it!
You’re pretty much covered to leave the UK and enter a large chunk of the world on arrival or pre-booked in advance.
But what about Russia and China you cry?
You can enter without a visa which I have done myself through Tourist schemes.
For example, as of 2013 you can now enter Beijing with a transit Visa for 48 hours. Yep! that means no visa required.
How about that!
Russia works in a similar way but you have to enter via boat and return after 48 hours.
Smart Phone
This item is like the Swiss army knife of technology! Here is just a short list of things you can do with your Smart phone and why its in my 3 must need items:
• Watch
• Emails
• PDF reader for E-Tickets and Books.
• MP3 player
• Alarm clock
• Video recorder
• Voice recorder
• Internet browser
• Video viewer
• Online banking
• Camera
And finally it even makes phone calls (can you believe it!)
And of course, much much more.
The amount of power you will have in your pocket makes this item a must have.
You’ll be able to connect to the outside world, manage your personal life and entertain yourself while your at it as well.
Credit Card
Be sure to phone your bank before you go to let them know your be travelling to X country and then your away.
ATM’s or Money exchange shops are globally located so unless you’re going to Burma or Antarctica You should be covered and able to purchase all you need from Flights to hotel rooms. Visa and MasterCard are pretty much accepted all over the world and will at least allow you to withdraw money.
So there you are! all set and ready for the adventure!
It’s pretty much that simple.
Of course you’re more that likely bring a bag with some clothes in it, but I’m just highlighting the most need to get the ball rolling items you can minimally just grab and head to the airport.
Stop thinking travel is impossible and start Doing.
So that’s all it takes!
Travel and start your adventure!
