In search of that perfect escape, I ended up staying at Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel, Thailand.

When it comes to Thailand, I instantly think of the relaxing beach lifestyle that you can find on many of the stunning islands.

If you are also in search of that relaxing beach escape, let me tell you about Novotel Phuket Surin Beach Resort.

Off to a great start with a nice warm welcome

Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel offers a transfer service from the airport to the resort to make sure that your holiday starts straight away.

After a long day of flying and all the hassle that travel brings along with it, it was nice to receive such a warm welcome straight away from the arrival area of Phuket’s newly renovated airport.

Upon arrival to Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel I was kindly greeted by all the staff and given a friendly welcome. What a wonderful way to check in.

(Just what was needed after a long day of flying.)

Airport transfer went with a breeze, check in made me feel relaxed and welcome, but it didn’t stop there.

When I walked into the room yet another wonderfully warm welcome was to wait.

The executive chef had laid out a set of Thai sweet treats and fruits to try as a kind welcome to Novotel Phuket Surin Beach Resort.

What a wonderful welcome after a long day of travelling.

I have to say, when it comes to Thailand, they don’t mess around with hospitality, they know how to look after their guests.

(Always nice to be welcomed by elephant towels to start your trip.)

One thing I’m a big fan of in Thailand is wonderful towel art. I have no idea how it’s possible, but in Thailand they’re professional towel artists.

This was in fact the first time I had seen an elephant towel! I take my hat off to whoever is the in-house towel artist. Amazing Thailand!

A look around the Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel

I found the room to be very spaceful, relaxing and had everything I could possibly need. They had thought of everything.

(You can get a room that walks out into the pool area with your own deck chairs.)

The room I stayed in had a nice cosy double bed which was cut off from its own living room area which made the room very spaceful.

If you happen to be travelling with a larger family you can actually request to interlink some rooms to make multiple rooms bigger and shared.

They offer large working desks in the room if you need to get some work done.

What I liked about the Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel, is you can request to have your own Wi-Fi hotspot put into the room if you would like to have a better connection.

Wonderful for those who need to stay connected like myself.

The room has everything you could possibly need from a fridge to tea & coffee as well as all the bathroom amenities that you might have forgotten. (Hey, it does happen!)

Close walk to Surin beach, Phuket

(Surin beach is close to the Novotel resort.)

Surin beach is only a few minutes’ walk from reception. If you want to walk to the beach, you can.

If you would like to go to some of the other beach locations close by in Phuket, they do offer a daily shuttle service which you can enquire about with the hotel reception who will be happy to help you.

One of the highlights of Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel has to be its mega pool!

The pool inter-loops all around the centre of the resort offering hours of fun and exploration.

They even have a swim-up bar where you can order drinks and snacks so you don’t even have to leave if you don’t want to.

You don’t really have to leave the resort if you don’t want to as the pool offers hours of relaxation.

Go for a Thai massage

(Also gym facilities located below the spa.)

Relax, you’re on holiday! Why not head to the spa centre and enjoy a relaxing Thai massage. Enjoy your stay.

Breakfast is pretty special here

(Not a bad breakfast buffet.)

When it comes to breakfast in the morning, IHG don’t mess around! I’ve had my fair share of breakfast buffets in Thailand and it can be a hit or a miss.

I was happy to see the wide selection of breakfast items that they put on at the Novotel Phuket Surin Beach Resort.

Even a full breakfast had proper sausages (don’t laugh!) which can be hard to come across in Thailand.

Always nice to start the day with a hearty breakfast and they have something for everyone. The waffle station seemed to be a big hit with other guests.

All the food throughout my stay at theHoliday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel was fantastic. Mostly with thanks to Jason, the executive chef who is based at the resort.

His aim was for the resort to offer a fun and friendly experience for guests to feel at home and try some comfort food. Be it local or international food, they simply offer a wide variety at the resort of cater for everyone’s needs.

New sushi bar opened at the Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach, an IHG Hotel

I had the pleasure to be one of the first customers to try out the newly opened sushi bar at Surin Beach.

I was very impressed by the in-house chef’s skills with this popular Japanese cuisine and I’m sure it’s something you’re looking forward to trying out yourself.
