Book cheaper flights by going incognito
It happens to me all the time, I go to book a flight, find a great price but hesitate.
Mosly because I want to have a look around other sites to compare options before I commit.
hat gives!
This not only happens for flights, I’ve found this to also happen on hotel, bus and train websites too.
Solution
Cover yourself from trackers and you will appear as a first time visitor.
Of course it might have been a regular scheduled price rise as most booking sites on average do this up to 3 times a day, but generally this trick will work most of the time, specially when you’ve been repeatedly checking (which does happen).
I discovered this whilst booking the same flight with a friend, we both had different prices but we were on the same internet connection.
Websites and companies are clever so block trackers by covering your IP address.
To get around this I use a simple application called Tunnel Bear, it sits on your desktop and with one click you activate the Privacy feature that’s built in.
Tunnel Bear privacy blocks all calls made to certain tracking services, which combined with IP masking allows you to effectively hide from website tracking.
This can also work in the same way by using incognito mode, which is built into some Browsers, As A Safari user Tunnel Bear works out better for me.
So next time you’re booking a flight and the price jumped, use this trick and you may be surprised with what you find.
Best of luck booking your next flight and I hope you find this tip useful in the future.
Then you head back to the same website to find the price has gone up,
What gives!
