ITE HCMC 2016: Revisiting Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
Super excited to announce that I will be returning to Vietnam to attend ITE HCMC 2016 and explore the southern region and Ho Chi Minh city.
The last time I visited was back in 2010, around 6 years ago whilst in transit to start my hotel front desk internship in Singapore.
I remember heading to the Vietnam embassy in London to pick up my Vietnam tourist visa. The building from the outside looked like we was in London, but once you stepped in, it was like being transported to Vietnam, it got me excited for the trip ahead.
This process has since changed since in UK travellers can now visit Vietnam on a tourist entry stamp for up to 14 days.
A lot has changed since my last visit and this is what is exciting me most about the trip back to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
Mostly reading Legal nomads post about the best street food eats in Saigon. My stomach is earning for a revisit to discover some of the best street food spots across the region.
I remember eating a lot of beef noodle soup in Saigon and falling in love with its affordable homely culinary. Can’t wait to rediscover this and explore my taste buds.
Also since my last visit, a digital nomad scene has since popped up in the city. Can’t wait to hit the coffee scene and check out the update Co working culture. I remember in 2010 working in Highlights coffee, I’m sure the coffee shop culture has since improved since and can’t wait to explore this.
My main purpose of my visit to Ho Chi Mihn, Vietnam will be attending to the 12th international travel EXPO in Ho Chi Mihn (ITE HCMC 2016).
Will be heading to the travel convention to meet up with the tourism industry in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, ASEAN and around the world.
Always happy for new networking opportunities and this looks to be an incredible event with Lots of opportunities on offer.
Looking forward to discovering how travel bloggers can work with this region of the world, especially taking part in the keynotes which bloggers will be hosting discussions around these topics such as how the travel industry can work with bloggers and how to innovate with new emerging trends such as live streaming social media platforms.
Also will be heading on a fun trip to explore the Mekong river for a few days to explore another side of life to Vietnam. Life on the river which will be exciting to discover.
It’s set to be a fun packed week of discovery around Ho Chi Ming and Vietnam in the general, excited for the trip and great to be returning again.
Will be flying out with Vietnam airlines for the first time from London, I wonder if they have noodle soup to get me started with on the flight 🙂
Cheers to my next destination and next adventure, off to Vietnam I go.
