Dutchies love to use there smart phones constantly around the clock. Be it swiping through Tinder, trying to find a date for the night or catching up through there endless Whatapp group conversations, your rarely spot them without one in there hand.

Here I have put together a list of Dutch iPhone Apps that I’ve used whilst living in The Netherlands that are frequently used in Holland.

Perfect for Students, expats or travellers located in the Netherlands,

It Rains a lot in The Netherlands, don’t get caught out in the rain! Your probably wondering why a lot of Dutchies hang around shop entrances for 10 minutes before walking home? Well thats because in Holland you can use this handy app to see how long it will take for the rain to pass, what time it will be coming and when is best to make your journey. Think local, use this app and stay dry. You can even set up warning alerts to give you a buzz if a storm is heading your way, very handy indeed!

You’ve heard before that Dutchies like to split bills, well there is an app for that! If your sharing a house, in a group circle or office environment, create a Wiebetaaltwat group you can all join. Every time you make a group purchase add it to the group and then you can spread the costs out amongst your group of friends. Perfect for solving who’s turn it is to buy the toilet paper or who needs to cook and buy the next group meal, enjoy!

5. Knaek

A student secret, this app locates all the best student deals in your local city around the Netherlands. Grab any medium Dominos pizza for under €5, buy one get one free on Big Macs and many many more great student deals, check it out and locate what deals you can find in your area, perfect!

6. Dumpert

If your lecture is getting boring then be sure to check out the popular Dutch website Dumpert. This is the most popular website in Holland to find funny viral videos. Mostly they are all in Dutch but at least you can watch the top 10 videos of the day that every Dutchie is talking about, won’t be left out in Pub conversations then. Just make sure you don’t get caught watching the videos at work.

Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you found the list useful, feel free to post below in the comment section if you have any more Dutch apps to add to the list, cheers in advance!
