How to manage Travel visa requirements for backpackers

How to manage Travel visa requirements for backpackers

I hate visas , I feel they limit tourism and can put people off locations, not help support them.

But don’t let Travel visa requirements put you off travelling,

If you have to apply fort a lot of visa’s, they can start to eat into yourbudget.

As Travel visa requirements change a lot, please consult with the embassy in which country you are visiting for the most up-to-date prices and requirements.

I like to use a great Wikipedia page which gets updated regularly and lays out Travel visa requirements very well:

WIKI British passport, visa help

Also check out this site which is a little easier to understand with an interactive map and nationality selection:

Visamapper.com

A great website for British travellers to find out about travel alerts and general information about travel can be found on the government run website:

know before you go

Visa costs can be expensive so it’s important to keep these costs into account for your total trip, as some of them can become a shock if not prepared.

Generally, one entry visas will cost you between £15-25 and can be purchased on arrival at the airport.

But some can cost upwards of £40 and need to be purchased in advance so use the above website maps to work this out (I would write them up but they change so frequently that the websites would be more up-to-date and offer more information)

With a little planning in advance, travel visa requirements never have to be an issue, in a lot of cases you won’t need one.

If you do a little research into the destination your travelling to in advance can save you being turned away at a border, be a informed traveller.

Plus you can avoid some countries, if an easier visa free location alternative can be reached just as easily.

Such locations will quickly learn this is the case and might work towards waving a tourist visa or make it easier to access.

After all Tourism is a big business and allowing tourism to happen in such ways can make an impact on many locations.
