Luang Prabang is my favourite spot in Laos and its totally worth checking out if you happen to be passing by. One reason you must visit is for its stunning sunsets, simply Climb to the top of Mount Phousi and watch as the Sun sets over Luang Prabang bellow. You can see the Mekong river and the vast foothills as well as the surrounding city buildings, its truly breath taking.

2. Grand Canyon, Arizona, United States of America

The Grand Canyon in Arizona is an interesting sunset as the landscape lighting changes almost every hour as the sun starts to set the lighting affects the colour of the canyon. This makes it an interesting spot to enjoy a sunset. be sure to wrap up warm as the Arizona heat rapidly disappears with the sun and it quickly becomes chilly, perfect to enjoy by a state controlled camp fire with marshmellows and company.

3. Tikal, National Park, Guatemala

Watch as the sun sets over one of Tikals many ancient ruins, taking the time to stop and reflect helps you to cast your mind back to thousands of years ago and imagine what life could have been like here in the past. That’s one of the beauties of a sunset, they can help to envision what it could have been like centuries ago.

4. Koh Phangan Island, Thailand

Watching a sunset from Koh Phangan can be an enjoyable daily activity, looking out to the other islands across the vast waters. If you are lucky to have a clear day and good weather watch as the sun changes the sea colour. You can either enjoy the sunset from one of the many beach front bungalows, or up high in the hills from cafés such as the Amsterdam bar or from the viewing point at Wat Khao Tham.

5. Taghazout, Morocco
